As consumers of cable news, it seems that we are less and less inclined to actually want to know the truth. More and more, it seems to me that folks want either to be entertained or just get plain pissed off. The truth or facts just aren’t important to us anymore. We want to be one of the first to hear that RFK Jr. is really alive and he’s going to return the Presidency back to Trump. Or what about half the country being pedophilic members of the “radical” far Left? Or that vaccines really don’t work and are even dangerous, told to us by people who are fully vaccinated? Or that Trump is still in the Oval Office disguised as Joe Biden! Wow, I didn’t know! Did I really WANT to know? Is cable T.V. news the new National Enquirer come to life? David Pecker (love that name) must be so flattered! After all, a juicy little nasty novel is always better than a dry old factual news story.

I could go on with multiple examples of bizarre or dangerous “news stories” being foisted upon an audience lusting for ever more craziness! These so-called news hosts know most of the content is pure B.S.! The problem is B.S. sells and gets lots of viewers/revenue. And far too many of us don’t fact check or question anything, as long as it comes from our favorite host or network. Americans find validation of the worst forms of human behavior in our leaders, idols and fellow Americans, every single night. And damn does THAT piss me off!

I have become that guy who screams at Tucker Carlson and Hannity as if they could hear me. I cannot help myself, but I don’t want to! A little bit each day can’t hurt, right? It doesn’t need to be true, right? If it sounds too nutty to be true it must be true, yes? I am only human, right? And by the way, God help me, but I LOVE IT SO! Hook me up Tucker, I need another fix O’ Fox!!
